We are thrilled to share that the Bill Finerfrock Health Policy Fellowship Application is now open on NARHC.org!

This program was created to celebrate the outstanding legacy of Bill Finerfrock, the co-founder and long-time Executive Director of NARHC, who was a strong leader on rural health issues throughout his entire career.

Designed for mid-career professions working in the RHC setting or a rural health care system, the selected BFHP Fellow will reside in Alexandria, Virginia for either a 4-week continuous timeframe, or two, 2-week periods in May, June, or July 2024.

Watch the video below to hear from NARHC’s 2023 Fellow, Michael Tackitt, an RHC Clinic Director in Brownfield, Texas.

The Fellow will participate in NARHC advocacy efforts, including meetings with agency and Capitol Hill staff, while learning to be a true grassroots advocate and champion for rural health.

Lodging and travel expenses will be fully covered by the program, and a $8,000 stipend will be provided to the fellow directly. Additionally, the selected fellow’s employer will receive a $2,000 stipend to be used as the organization sees fit in gratitude for its support of the fellow’s participation in this program.

Applicants must be current NARHC members. Additional details and the application can be found here and must be submitted by January 5, 2023.

With any questions regarding this opportunity, please email Sarah Hohman at Sarah.Hohman@narhc.org.

Sincerely,
National Association of Rural Health Clinics
