Author: From: Nathan Baugh, Director of Government Affairs

I just wanted to follow up in this space to note a couple of things:

1-Our longer article on the vaccine mandate is now published here: https://www.narhc.org/News/29168/CMS-Vaccine-Mandate-Rules-Released
2-The vaccine mandate requires updates to every RHC’s Policies and Procedures by December 4th.
3-Staff will need their first shot by December 4th and will need to be "fully vaccinated" by January 4th.
4-The mandate applies to all patient facing staff but there are medical/religious exemptions.
5-Surveyors will enforce this policy.
6-It is unclear at this time if the various lawsuits by certain states will impact this policy.
